Kuwa is attendance and workforce management built for African businesses, starting with Ghana. It is made by Boafo.Digital, a team that has personally run multi-branch operations here.
Why Kuwa exists
We kept hearing the same story from owners and operations leads: staff lateness nobody could evidence, ghost workers sitting on payroll, rota chaos buried in WhatsApp, and payroll built from guesswork at month-end. The attendance books were real, but nothing in them was verifiable a month later. The tools built abroad assume desks, laptops, reliable data and HR departments. That is not how a security firm in Tema or a restaurant group in Osu runs. Kuwa was built the other way around: phone-first, works on a weak connection, honest about what it can prove, and priced in GH₵ for a business with twelve staff, not twelve hundred.
Our mission
Make workforce discipline provable for African businesses without adding a layer of administration. That means three things in practice. Every clock-in is verified at the point it happens, by GPS or by a branch QR code, so a record cannot be invented after the fact. Every manager correction is logged with a reason, so fixing a genuine mistake does not require sneaking. And every hour that reaches payroll traces back to an event you can open and defend, whether the question comes from a staff member, SSNIT, GRA or a labour tribunal.
Who we built Kuwa for
Operators, not HR departments. Security firms with guards on client posts. Restaurants and hotels running split shifts. Schools tracking teaching and non-teaching staff. Retail chains with branch managers. Cleaning, transport, construction, facility management, clinics, pharmacies, NGOs and churches. The common thread is simple: staff have to be at a specific place at a specific time, the owner cannot be everywhere at once, and payroll depends on somebody's word unless the system verifies it.
Where we're going
Kuwa Workforce is positioned for African businesses long term, and Ghana is where we prove it first. Next up: mobile money billing, MoMo salary payouts, a native Android app with iOS to follow, and deeper payroll tooling. Today Kuwa already works in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer, with no install and no contract. Step by step, in the order our customers actually need it.
